Free toys available at Greenmead Community Centre

Starting from Wednesday 27 March, Turn Around Toys will be providing free toys to families every month at Greenmead Community Centre.

The toys will be available alongside Bexley Children’s Centres’ monthly ‘Baby Bank’ event, which provides families on a low income ‘pre-loved’ baby and toddler clothes and equipment for free.

Families interested in receiving free toys, clothing and equipment are encouraged to attend the monthly Bexley Children’s Centres Baby Bank event at Greenmead Community Centre, Lime Row, Thamesmead DA18 4HW. The event is held from 9.30am to 11.30am on the last Wednesday of each month.

By collaborating with Bexley’s Children’s Centres, Turn Around Toys aims to reach local families directly, ensuring that the toys are distributed to those who need them most.

Natalie Detnon, Founder of Turn Around Toys, said:

“We’re excited to embark on this new initiative and contribute to the well-being of our community’s children. We firmly believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the wonder of play, regardless of their circumstances. Through these monthly toy distributions, we hope to create moments of happiness and connection for families facing economic hardships”.

Turn Around Toys helps to reduce the amount of toys going to landfill, by refurbishing unwanted and broken toys and donating them to local families and organisations in need.
